I have always had problems with my name! I have a long last name! (Alameh Zadeh)
My first name is not helping either! (Nazanin)
Nina is my nickname- choosing it I tried to go with a name that starts with “N” to go with my real first name, and has the least number of letters!
Zadeh is just the last part of my last name! and no one I know can pronounce it correctly the first time or even if the person is the “pronounciation champion” of the world I bet they wouldn’t remember it few hours later!
For years my patients have called me different ways, Dr Z! Dr Zaida! Dr Zadah! Dr Zadey! and my favorite- The Dentist!
I had a new patient not too long ago in a Dental Clinic in North Orange County, like always as I entered the room, I said Hi! my name is Dr Zadeh, and I will be doing your exam today!
He smiled at me and said: Oh Zadeh? like ZA Day and ZA Night?
He probabley didn’t realize how big of a help he was to me that day!
Since then , every time I see a new patient at my office in Dana Point, I go: Hi! I’m Dr Zadeh, Like ZA Day and Za Night!!!!!
Having that said , I wanted to get your help in finding me something that rhymes with Nazanin AlamehZadeh?!!!!
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!!!
